Lyrical is the beautiful movement typically danced to a pop ballad. It takes its name from the emotional connection the movement has with the lyrics. Typically, dancers should not begin lyrical until they have had at least 2 years of Ballet. Our beginner class keeps their training in mind, so it is more recreational than technical, giving those young performers a chance to get a better understanding of their Ballet technique before moving on to the more complex sequences Lyrical has to offer. Intermediate students can take it one step further and include Contemporary into their repertoire.
