A Message to Our Dance Families and Community
For 15 years, Grand Central Academy of Performing Arts has been built on a commitment to excellence, integrity, and creating a positive environment where students can grow both as dancers and as individuals.
Over the past year, many members of our community became aware of a legal dispute involving two former instructors. We chose not to discuss the case publicly out of respect for the judicial process.
That case has now concluded.
After a civil bench trial in Mecklenburg County Superior Court, the Court entered judgment in favor of Grand Central Academy of Performing Arts, finding that the former instructors breached their employment agreements by violating the non-compete, non-solicitation and other provisions of their valid contracts.
The Court has entered a judgment in our favor.
We consider this chapter closed.
Throughout this past season, our priority has never changed. Our focus has remained on our students, our families, and providing exceptional dance education, performances, and competitions in a positive, encouraging, and professional environment.
We are incredibly grateful to the families who have believed in our mission.
Your trust, encouragement, and loyalty have meant more than words can express.
As we continue to move forward, our energy is devoted entirely to what we love most—helping children discover confidence, discipline, creativity, and joy through the performing arts. We remain committed to providing a studio where students are challenged, supported, safe, and inspired every day.
Thank you for allowing us to continue being part of your family's journey.
We look forward to many more years of dancing together.
Miss Wendi
